Jamie Betesh
Jamie Betesh is at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, majoring in journalism. Since IEI, where she values the “real world experience” she gained, she’s interned in the marketing department at Penguin Putnam publishing company and was the head counselor at the Sol Goldman Y in Manhattan. She’s pursuing a career in journalism. (updated Oct. 2003)

Lara Crystal
After graduating from Cornell University with a degree in business, Lara Crystal has settled in Manhattan. She’s an analyst for Mercer Human Resource Consulting. (updated Oct. 2003)

Alyssa Hall Fought
Alyssa Hall Fought is an Early Childhood Head Teacher and Campus Director at Soaring Wings Montessori School in Park City, Utah. A graduate of James Madison University with a B.S. degree in communication sciences and disorders and special education, she also has a Master’s degree in education from the University of Phoenix. Alyssa writes, “Since IEI I got a B.S. and a Master’s degree; moved to Park City, married a great friend, Tyler; found a job I love; had our boy, Alexander; and now our second son is on the way! This summer I took trips to both coasts to see family and friends and a two-week trip to Italy with my husband.” (updated Sept. 2008)

Maura Goldsberry
Maura Goldsberry is in her second year at Santa Clara University School of Law. The former IEI Law Intern has decided to be a divorce attorney. Maura graduated from Vassar with a degree in economics; this summer she worked at Legal Advocates for Children and Youth and at a group home for homeless and runaway teens. (updated Oct. 2003)

Lindsey Ann Hagan
Her experiences as a Theater Intern with IEI made Lindsey Ann Hagan realize that she “likes being behind the camera, rather than in front of it.” As she begins her senior year at the University of Colorado in Boulder, with a double major in film and history, she hopes to explore possible careers in the entertainment industry. She keeps in touch with Alexa Barron. (updated Oct. 2003)

Randy Kessler
Randall Kessler lives in Manhattan and is an associate at Silver Lake Partners, a technology-focused private equity firm with almost $6 billion under management. Randall graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2003 with a B.S. in business. His major accomplishment since IEI: “Successfully making my way through Wharton and into the real world, and establishing myself both professionally and personally in New York.” This summer, he attended the wedding of former Interns Brian and Emily (Scott) Neider. Randall has been traveling extensively, including spending six weeks in Europe and a week in China on business. (updated Oct. 2006)

Becca Krass
Becca Krass is taking a break from “real life” to see more of the world. She writes from Turkey: “I was most recently working at a software start-up that went under and laid me off in the process. I took advantage of the opportunity to buy a one-way ticket to Europe to travel! I’m currently working at a hostel in Kusadasi, Turkey and enjoying life to the fullest. No plans to return to the States any time soon...” The former Law Intern earned a B.A. in political science and international relations from Williams College in 2003. (updated Oct. 2007)

Emily Scott Neider
This summer, Emily Scott Neider traveled throughout Greece with her husband, Brian. She completed the Teach for America program as a third-grade teacher at a public school in the Bronx and is currently going into her sixth year of teaching at the same school. Emily earned a B.A. in psychology from Northwestern University and a Master’s of Science in education from Pace University. About IEI, she says, “It was truly an unforgettable summer, one that changed my life by introducing me to my husband. We always refer to Lynn and Nina as our matchmakers!” She’s stayed in touch with Ari Butler, Jeremy Schwartz and Randy Kessler. (updated Sept. 2008) 

David Reichenberg
Former Law Intern David Reichenberg graduated from Fordham Law School in May and then took the New York bar exam. He traveled to Greece and Italy before starting work in September as an associate with Axinn, Veltrop and Harkrider LLP. David earned his bachelor’s degree from Cornell. He writes, “My Internship certainly added fuel to the fire in my desire to become a lawyer. I used my experience of making a presentation before Queen’s Counsel David Etherington in my admissions essays to college and law school. The personal and professional experience I gained from IEI has been invaluable.” David keeps in touch with Tracy Weinberg. (updated Oct. 2006)

Stephanie Rodriguez
Former Theatre Intern Stephanie Rodriguez is a literature/video production student at Bennington College. She is planning to study abroad in Paris next term. She’s hoping to return to London as an RA for IEI. (updated Oct. 2003)

Bari Rosenberg
Bari Rosenberg writes, “It’s a big year for me. On October 10, I got married to Noah Adler (he’s not an IEI alum). I’m still working at Integra LifeSciences selling devices for burns, trauma and orthopedics to surgeons.” A former Public Relations Intern, Bari lives in Manhattan. She graduated from Emory University in 2003 with a B.A. in anthropology and economics. (updated Oct. 2009)

Mara Schwartz
Mara Schwartz lives in Manhattan, where she works as an actress. This summer, she starred in a play and shot two independent films. She also wrote and produced a short film. The former Theatre Intern writes, “My Internship made me more confident in my decision to become an actress. It also solidified how to approach school and act at the same time, even though I wasn't going to school for acting.” Mara graduated from New York University in 2002 with a B.A. in journalism and dramatic literature. She fondly recalls watching As You Like It in the rain at the Globe Theatre. (updated Nov. 2005)
