Tina Ahmadinejad
Tina Ahmadinejad plans to stay involved with social services and/or teaching as a result of her IEI experience. Just starting at Skidmore College, she maintains contact with Natalie Smith. (updated Oct. 2003)

Katie Axelrod
Former Hotel Management Intern Katie Axelrod is a senior at Syracuse University. She will earn her degree in hospitality management. She writes that her sister, Elizabeth (IEI 1996) is working as a human resources consultant at Mercer Consulting in New York City. (updated Nov. 2005)

Henri Benaim
Henri Benaim started his freshman year at Yale University this fall, after working as a sales associate at William Sonoma this summer. Last summer, he conducted a study on brain function at Memorial Sloan Kettering. He’s proud to have been president of his high school’s largest community service organization. Henri has maintained connections with Ruby Dudley and Jessica Stein and RA Sanly Yuen. (updated Oct. 2003)

Emily Bernbaum
Emily Bernbaum lives in Ridley, PA and is enrolled in a five-year program in clinical psychology at Widener University, after which she’ll receive a master’s and a PsyD degree. She graduated from Cornell with a B.S. in human development. This summer, she worked in an autistic support program. She keeps in touch with Amy Lundholm. (updated Oct. 2007)

Amanda Charney
Amanda Charney is pursuing a career in radio, TV or film. She’s a communication arts major at the University of Wisconsin in Madison; this summer she worked at a public relations firm where she did celebrity publicity. Amanda keeps in touch with Kat Chan and Rachel Rosenberg. (updated Oct. 2003)

Hanna Chiou
Hanna Chiou is now at Stanford University in California, planning to focus on human biology. She has wonderful memories of her summer in London. “There were so many varied experiences -- from the work-related encounters like patient reviews at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital to the fun things like watching Les Miz for the first time and being blown away!” This summer, she worked on a research project called the “Courage Project” and started a public speaking class for middle school students. Adam Ferst
Adam Ferst is Executive Director for Aegis Capital Management, a family office/wealth management firm that he created. Adam, a former Website Design Intern, graduated from George Washington University with a degree in finance. He lives in Philadelphia. (updated Oct. 2007)

Lisa Friedman
Currently at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Lisa Friedman’s summer with IEI convinced her that she wants to “go back and live in London at some point!” This summer, she was a paid intern with an employee relations consulting firm. She has an interest in public relations and consumer journalism and tries to keep in touch with IEI friends on-line. (updated Oct. 2003)

Cary Gottesman
Cary Gottesman is majoring in sociology at the University of Arizona. She interned this past summer in California with the well-known ad agency Foote, Cone & Belding. She writes, “I feel that I’m more independent and confident since my summer with IEI.” She still talks to Hallie Friedman, Adam Ferst and Rob Koslow. (updated Oct. 2003)

Rachel Jonas
Rachel Jonas’ retail experience through IEI helped her get a summer job at Luna, a women’s clothing boutique. She’s now at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and she talks with Frances Mitchell and Pam Rykowsky. (updated Oct. 2003)

Amy Lundholm
After graduating from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in June 2009, Amy Lundholm is now a resident in Internal Medicine at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, PA. “I had my first introduction to hospital medicine during my IEI Internship at Central Middlesex Hospital, and I knew I was meant to be a doctor,” she writes. Amy graduated from NYU with a B.A. in psychology and chemistry. She’s in contact with Emily Bernbaum. (updated Oct. 2009)

Yilin Nie
Yilin Nie is a senior at Yale University, where she is majoring in economics and literature. She worked at Morgan Stanley in New York City this summer and will pursue a career in finance. She keeps in touch with Hanna Chiou and Brooke Olster. The former Web Design Intern fondly remembers trying on dresses at Harrods. (updated Nov. 2005)

Brooke Olster
Brooke Olster serves in the Peace Corps in Mauritania, West Africa, as a Small Business Development Volunteer. She plans to pursue graduate studies in international development upon returning to the States. Brooke graduated from Rider University with a degree in economics and worked as a financial consultant for two years in Washington, D.C. before joining the Peace Corp. She says, “My internship at Barclay’s Bank exposed me to the financial world and helped me choose which aspects of the job I'd like in my future career.” She keeps in touch with Yilin Nie and Hanna Chiou. Carly Pollack
Finishing her first year at George Washington University in Washington, DC with a 3.8 GPA, Carly Pollack is now considering law as a career. “Going to London was the best experience I ever had! And I talk to Zach Gordon every week!” (updated Oct. 2003)

Elise de Roulet
Elise de Roulet is drama major at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and she’s studying The Method at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York City. She writes, “During my IEI Theatre Internship, I fell in love with London. I chose to attend boarding school there for my last year of high school, and I'm planning on going back to study abroad.” This summer, she worked and visited her parents in Europe. Jessica Stein
Although she’s an anthropology major at Vassar, former Journalism Intern Jessica Stein is still involved in communications; she has her own radio show on Vassar’s WKVR station. She did a summer internship with Buena Vista Pictures in New York City. Jessica still talks with Ruby Dudley, Henri Benaim, and Amanda Rocco. (updated Oct. 2003)

Shayda Yavari
Shayda Yavari studied web site design with IEI and then came home and created her own web site! After an intensive graphic design studies program at the Parsons School of Design in NYC, she’s now enrolled at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia. “Seeing the theater production of The Lion King is my best memory, but I really feel that I learned to be much more responsible, living in a foreign city.” She keeps in touch with Lisa Friedman and Lauren Lyon. Jaime Yikiel
Jaime Yikiel is the Fashion Stylist for world-renowned opera singer Deborah Voigt. The former Fashion & Design Intern writes, “I've styled her in a variety of publications such as Good Morning America, People Magazine, Opera News, Chicago Magazine and Inside Edition. I handle her wardrobe for her personal and professional life. Just like my experience with IEI, this has been extremely rewarding.” Jaime graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2005 with a degree in fashion styling. Brett Youngerman
Former Business/Finance Intern Brett Youngerman spent the summer volunteering with Global Works in Costa Rica, but now he’s back to civilization at Yale University in Connecticut. (updated Oct. 2003)

Natasha Zagoren
Natasha Zagoren is a student at the University of Southern California; she plans on going into the entertainment industry: “I’m particularly interested in the business aspects of film.” Natasha adds,” My biggest accomplishment since IEI was moving all by myself to the West Coast -- knowing nobody -- to pursue a dream.” This summer, the former Social Services Intern worked as a counselor in a group home for adults.
