Molly Braverman
Molly Braverman is a theatre major at Columbia University. This summer, she interned at the off-Broadway show The Two and Only. “My IEI acting classes -- particularly in Shakespeare -- have continued to help me throughout my theatre studies. Her most memorable IEI experience was attending a performance of Richard III at the Globe Theatre. “We were groundlings, and we stood right next to the stage in the pouring rain -- it was one of the best performances I have ever seen!” Molly is proud to have received the "Second Star to the Right" Founders Award from the Peter Pan Children's Fund. Jenny Brod

Zoe Cohen
Zoe Cohen attends Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. She writes, “My Hotel Management Internship helped me realize I wanted to be in the hotel industry by giving me hands-on experience. IEI helped me choose what I wanted to do with my life. Alexandra Diaz
A former Fashion & Design Intern, Alexandra Diaz is majoring in fashion design at Philadelphia University and will graduate in May. The Texas native writes, “My Internship enabled me to learn all about the fashion industry in one of the world’s greatest cities. Since then, I’ve become more knowledgeable about different aspects of the fashion industry through merchandising and design.” Alexandra keeps in touch with Hillary Goldson, Carolyn Schmunis and Ariella Zarrabi. Ariele Fredman
This summer, Ariele Fredman interned at Harper Collins Publishing in the publicity department. During IEI, she was at Bloomsbury Publishing. Ariele is studying sociology and comparative literature at Emory University, where she’s a junior. She’s in contact with Jessica Laufer, Jessica Savitsky, Jessica Horowitz and Brandon Heller.(updated Oct. 2006)
Oliver Gilbert
Oliver Gilbert is a freshman at George Washington University, where he is majoring in international affairs. The Former Law Intern says that his most memorable IEI experience was “riding on the Tube to the farthest parts of London to sit in on court cases.” (updated Nov. 2005)

Nora Kirkpatrick
Nora Kirkpatrick recently returned from Africa, where she volunteered at an orphanage in Nakuru, Kenya, and was involved in reviving a local theater company that was trying to get back on its feet. She writes, “This year I graduated from UCLA and will be pursuing theater in Los Angeles full time with my theater company, Interstate 5. The classical training during IEI helped put me at an advantage with our classical pieces at UCLA.”(updated Oct. 2006)
Andrew Lurie
Former Medical Intern Andrew Lurie worked as a lifeguard and a firefighter in the Hewlett Fire Department this summer. Now he’s at Emory University, where he is majoring in business. His recent accomplishments include graduating from the Nassau County Fire Service Academy and being vice president of Emory’s Men's Rugby Team. “During my IEI Internship, I enjoyed getting a view of the world from outside the U.S. and seeing how medicine is practiced elsewhere,” he says. Edon Ophir
Former Journalism Intern Edon Ophir attends Ithaca College. He writes, “While I am a politics major, I'm greatly considering moving into a journalism major or perhaps a minor in journalism/communications. He’s in contact with Jason Sandler, Stephanie Katz, Alyssa Richman and Jen Goldstein. Matthew Rudofker
Former Business/Finance Intern Matthew Rudofker is pursuing a culinary career. He is a chef de partie at Daniel, a top-flight French restaurant in New York. He writes, “I’ve been cooking in some of the best restaurants in New York, working my way up and learning as much as I can.” He’s proud of two particular accomplishments: “becoming a chef tournant at a Michelin-starred restaurant and a chef de partie at a 4-star New York restaurant – both before the age of 21.” This summer, while Daniel was closed for renovations, Matthew did a stint at the award-winning Fat Duck restaurant in England. Andrew Samitz
Andrew Samitz writes to us on our Facebook page: “Hi there! I just wanted to say that my experience with IEI and the internship I had at OlgivyOne PR was one of the greatest times of my life! IEI was amazing. I met some incredible people in an incredible city. I also met the best girl in the world and just had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this opportunity to any kid going into college. This will truly give you a more worldly perspective on life and really benefit you, forever.

Jason Sandler
Jason Sandler attends Northwestern University. This summer he completed a complicated research and development project for a Home Healthcare Provider in Wilton, CT. “My task was to assess, develop and expand the organization’s “telemedicine” program by which patients’ healthcare is remotely monitored via modern technologies.” He’s in contact with Edon Ophir and Daryl Drabinsky. Jessica Savitsky
Former Fashion and Design Jessica Savitsky is a sophomre at Syracuse University. This summer, she interned for a real estate company and for fashion designer Anna Sui. About IEI she writes, “I loved the fashion classes. I loved the TAs, and Roger, the head teacher, was a really helpful instructor.” (updated Nov. 2005)
Alexis Sherman
California native Alexis Sherman writes, “My major accomplishment since IEI was gaining acceptance to and attending a college on the other side of the country --Trinity College in Hartford, CT.” She’s majoring in art history and religion. The former Law Intern says her most memorable experience was sitting in on a trial involving two of the sons of radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza, who was affiliated with Al-Qaeda. Carolyn Shmunis
Former Fashion & Design Intern Carolyn Shmunis is a senior at the University of Redlands in Southern California, where she is majoring in business. She writes, “After my experience at IEI I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the fashion industry. However, I also realized that the design part of the field was not for me. I am currently taking additional classes at the Art Institute of California for an Associate’s Degree in Fashion Marketing and Merchandising.” Carolyn keeps in touch with Alex Diaz, Brandon Farwell and Hilary Goldson. Pamela Takefman
Pamela Takefman is a junior at the University of Pennsylvania majoring in
English. She recently interned at the Philadelphia Weekly, an alternative weekly,
“which is not quite The London Times, but I'm really enjoying it.” Pamela plans to spend her junior year at St. Peter's College, Oxford, studying English and philosophy. She writes, “I have kept in touch with Sarah Cantin, who was my freshman-year roommate and my housemate this past year as we moved off-campus. Erica Youngerman
Erica Youngerman graduated from Emory University in May with a B.A. in political science and sociology. The former Law Intern is a first-year student at Brooklyn Law School. This summer, she interned for a criminal court judge in Nassau County. “IEI provided the opportunity for me to see if law was the field I really wanted to go into -- and it was.” Her most memorable experience in the Internship was “sitting in on an international custody dispute involving five countries.” Erica keeps in touch with Ariele Fredman, Andrew Lurie and Will Blashka. Ariella Zarrabi
Former Fashion & Design Intern Ariella Zarrabi is a junior at Philadelphia University, where she is majoring in Fashion Industry Management. She’s proud to report that she has been accepted at NABA, an academy of art and design in Milan, where she’ll study this spring. Ariella writes, “I learned a lot about fashion design in England. It helped me create my portfolio and my senior project, and contributed to my acceptance to college." She keeps in touch with Alexandra Diaz, who also attends Philadelphia University. Scott Zucker
Scott Zucker lives in Short Hills, NJ, and works as a Rail Service Planner with New Jersey Transit. He graduated from George Washington University in 2008 with a degree in finance. His most memorable IEI experience: “It would have to be my infamous first day at the Law Internship when they thought I was a client and wined and dined me on the executive floor until they realized their mistake!” Scott has stayed in contact with Oliver Gilbert. “We were members of the same college fraternity; he was the president and I was the treasurer.” (updated Oct. 2009)
