Great Exposure
Patrice Innocenti, Digital Photography

The Digital Photography Media & Design Workshop has exposed me to the new style of photography by using Photoshop. We took boat trips in order to take photographs of buildings along the Thames River. Using Photoshop, we learned how to piece together our favorite and least favorite scenes to create realistic yet manipulated landscapes.

In addition, we worked in a studio where we had a photo shoot using black and white backgrounds. I learned how the professionals set up and adjust studio lights. My favorite part was when we used those pictures to piece together a collage of different pictures from several people.

I am so grateful to have had this opportunity. Not only was the workshop fun and informative, but the instructors were motivational and talented. I am glad I learned Photoshop because it is a useful tool that will help me in my future career. I am now confident in using this software program, and as a result, I have four manipulated photos to add to my college portfolio. This was one of the best experiences of my life.
