A Window Into Fashion Design Neha Parikh, Fashion & Design I chose the Fashion & Design Media & Design Workshop because I wanted to see for myself how fashion school would be. I had always been interested in fashion designing. I had taken a few art classes and even participated in two fashion shows before I went to London, but this was nothing compared with the amount that I learned this summer. Every day at Cavendish College we worked on an ongoing project, which was designing a shirt and making a bag. Besides this, we had different teachers who taught different subjects. We learned to sketch and sew; we drew and portrayed different materials on paper using various coloring tools and techniques. This workshop helped me appreciate how much work is required to be in this industry. It requires a lot of dedication, and all the teachers had it. Their commitment helped make my experience fun and memorable. This month of learning gave me so much. |
