The Real Face of London
Nicole Yoesel, Photography

In the Documentary Photography Workshop, we took street photos and street portraits in different places around London, including the British Museum, Greenwich, Camden Town and Harrods. Each portrait is distinct because of the person in it; they let you see the real face of London. The street photos were very different from the street portraits because we got to put our own spin on the places we were photographing.

Taking the pictures was fun, but then you have to develop them to see what you really saw when you looked through the lens. I learned how to develop my own photographs. I thought this would be really hard, but in the end it was quite easy. After you see your photos, it is amazing. I felt so accomplished and satisfied with the work I had done.

I had never taken a photography class before, but I would not change a single picture I took on this trip.
