In this fast-paced workshop, you’ll combine your technical talents, your screen acting skills, and your creative inspiration to produce a short film and a digital movie montage. You’ll learn to act for the camera through practical exercises that explore framing, intensity, spontaneity and expressivity, and then use these skills to develop specific scene work. To hone your video production skills, you’ll study drama editing, storyboarding and planning, camerawork, lighting, green screen, sound recording, and editing, using Final Cut Pro. You’ll also have a chance to try your hand at every production role – from director to editor. No prior experience necessary.
"I have had a great experience this summer working with my video production workshop at Cavendish College. The first movie I made was decent yet slightly rough around the edges, because this was the first time I had used any of this equipment. 

However, my second short film, “The King of England,” was much better. I had more skill at this point, which was shown by the film having much more depth. I really enjoyed this workshop, because it made me even more intrigued with video production and allowed me to create work that I could be proud of."

Mini DV Camera and a fire wire port to input/output to the camera, in addition to all cables, manuals, battery chargers and adaptors.
