"The second week has gone by with the blink of an eye, and although it was utterly exhausting, it was tons of fun. At the end of the day, even though my feet hurt, the feelings of accomplishment and success make it all worthwhile. The bonds I’ve formed with my friends are growing stronger and stronger each day.

The Usher concert was the highlight of the week. IEI got us seats in the eleventh row, and Usher’s performance was amazing. His singing and dancing had all the girls screaming and had all the guys feeling jealous. I also went to the Tower of London and saw the priceless crown jewels. Coming from a family of jewelers, I was truly able to appreciate a diamond that was almost as big as a baseball.

I have mastered the Tube and know my way around all the main areas of London. I’ve tried to master my laundry. I finally did the wash because I had a major clothes shortage. It took the dryers about three hours to semidry my clothes and they still came out wrinkled. Laundry at home is much easier when I know how the machines work and my mom is only a shout away."
