Dear Lynn & Nina, “As a parent, I want to thank you for the wonderful job you all did for the kids at Intern Exchange International. My daughter has benefited immensely from your efforts. As she recounts her adventures, the organization, thoughtfulness and experience of the IEI management is clear. The examples are numerous: pre-planning, pictures on the Internet for parents to see, an astounding number of activity options, great tickets, great RAs, and your own visibility with the kids when it came to acceptable limits in terms of teen behavior (sending kids back home when absolutely necessary) and yet responsiveness (helping kids recover from lost cell phones). Moreover, my daughter loved the intern experience itself, the people she worked for, what she saw and learned, and has developed what she believes to be deep and lifelong friendship with several of the other interns. Please do not hesitate to use me as a parent reference if you ever wish to do so. Sending a 17-year-old halfway across the world was for me an emotional challenge. “Was she in good hands?” was always the question. If I knew then what I know now about the credibility of the program, I would not have had a worry. Barbara Truax
